Meeting of Road Safety Professionals
AIRSO met with a number of Road Safety Professionals in Scotland on Tuesday 2nd March 2010 bringing together those working in Local Authorities, Police and Fire Services.

ADIs National Joint Council
The Approved Driving Instructors National Joint Council was formed in 1973 to offer a national voice and representation for Local Driving Instructor Associations. In additional individual ADI's can join the Driving Instructor Group (DIG) The ADINJC enjoy consultative status with the DSA and represent the interests of the Local Associations and individual driving instructors in their communications with Government Ministers at both National and European level.
The Secretary of AIRSO, Graham Feest is the Road Safety Advisor to the ADINJC.

Road Safety Wales
Road Safety Wales has been established to create "unity from diversity" by developing and sustaining co-operation and interaction between all 22 Local Authorities in Wales and/or agencies with the responsibility for local authority road safety promotion, the Welsh Assembly Government, the four Welsh Police Forces, the three Fire and Rescue services, Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust and the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.
AIRSO has a strong link with Road Safety Wales as it seeks to add value to the work being done by the various agencies.
Road Safety Wales Annual Conference
Road Safety Wales held their annual Conference on 28th & 29th September in Caernarfon. The Secretary of AIRSO, Graham Feest, gave a presentation at the Conference on the theme - "Proposing Change to meet the 2010 Challenges" - and is available as a PDF file which can be downloaded.
FORS (Freight Operator Recognition Scheme)
AIRSO is one of the principal advisers to the FORS project in terms of Road Risk Management and as such conduct on a monthly basis a workshop for business leaders covering a wide range of subject matter to assist organisations in the management of occupational road risk
FORS is a key project within the London Freight Plan and provides a quality and performance benchmark for the industry. It aims to benefit London as a whole by encouraging freight companies to prioritise safety and reduce their impact on the environment.

Workplace Transport Safety Workshop
