AIRSO was founded in 1965 and to this day is the only individual Membership organisation of its kind representing those who are in any way connected with the promotion and delivery of road safety education and training, road safety engineering, scientific research into casualty reduction and injury mitigation, and the enforcement of traffic law.
For 50 years it has been working to help reduce casualties on the road by means of providing support and help to practitioners from the statutory, private and voluntary sectors whether they are managing fleets, Health & Safety operations related to transport and logistics or working with the public to ensure they understand their vulnerability when using the road. We need to acknowledge that maintaining our safety on the road in much more than pure training as the knowledge and understanding which underpins our actions is paramount to our overall safety.
The ultimate aim of AIRSO is to play its part to reduce casualties on the busy and often congested roads of the UK.
If your work is in any way connected with using the road safely then I invite you to become a Member of AIRSO. Read more...
